Dear Jim,
I have received your invoice for the balance remaining in the amount of $30,286. I enclose my check for payment in full for that amount.
I would like to most especially call attention to the outstanding performance of your two field crew members. As you know, I was not at all looking forward to having the underpinning work done. It was a major job, involving stabilizing and leveling the entire length and bottom floor of my home. I anticipated it would be performed in the manner in which I was accustomed to haveing construction work done at my home, in a messy drawn out, and generally filthy, disruptive and traumatic manner. To my utter surprise and delight, your crew displayed not only exceptional skill and ability in performing their work, in that they were professional, diligent, and extremely efficient; but they were outstandingly intelligent, neat, clean, polite, and thoughtful, and reduced the amount of trauma and mess attendant upon the work that had to be done. They were also outstanding in explaining the various steps that they were taking, and did not talk down to me in the manor that, as a single older woman, I had grown to expect.
Indeed, my experience with your corporation and these men has been such as to make me realize that having construction, even foundation repair work done on my home, need not be a de-stabilizing and traumatic experience.
Very truly yours
Sandra F.
